What is it?
Plan designed to combine the academic school life of students with the practice of some modality.
Singular Project
The Singular Project is a Curriculum designed to be able to combine school life with the practice of a sport, dance and / or music studies, guaranteeing a quality education in which our students acquire the knowledge and skills essential to be able to advance in their training.
Why in our school?
We are the only charter school in Catalonia that has the approval of the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia through Express Resolution (Res. 327/12).
In addition, we have a faculty that has been part of this project for years and that understands and knows the difficulties of these students to be able to combine both activities. Our follow-up together with the effort of the student and the commitment of the families, turn this project into a project of guaranteed success.
To whom is it addressed?
To students who dedicate themselves intensely to some modality such as sports, dance or music as a possible professional career in the future.
Requirements
Document that proves the hours of attendance at music, dance or a high-performance sports program.
Objective
Guarantee a quality academic education in parallel to training and competitions that the activity the student has chosen requires.
The Singular Project is aimed to all those children of ESO and BACHILLERATO who wish to combine academic life with the practice of some form of sport, dance or music as a possible professional career in the future.
The Lleó XIII School offers what the conventional educational system cannot: to study in parallel with trainings and competitions that require the activity that you have decided to practice.
Requirements
Show a document in the school that demonstrates the hours of attendance at music, dance classes or a High Performance Sports Program issued by the corresponding Federation, Sports Clubs or by the Official Schools of Dance or Music.
Methodology
After 60 years of experience we have acquired an effective methodology that guarantees a quality academic training without abandoning the integral training of the student as a person. Our way of working is based on:
- Adapted curriculum.
- Face-to-face subjects.
- Semi-face-to-face subjects.
- Non-face-to-face subjects.
- Individualized attention.
- Individualized tutoring.
- Individual tutoring with the Department of Psychopedagogical Guidance.
- Relationship with families, representatives of sports or artistic entities.
Schedule:
ESO from 8 to 13,30h
Baccalaureate. Daytime schedule from 8 to 14,30h. Night schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
La Masia training center Oriol Tort
In 2011, the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya approved and granted our school the curricular adaptation to teach baccalaureate in the facilities of the Masia del Futbol Club Barcelona in Sant Joan Despí.
A bit of history
Our school and the Futbol Club Barcelona maintain a collaboration agreement from many years ago. Traditionally, the athletes of La Masia have attended the center to combine compulsory and post-compulsory studies with the practice of their high-performance sport.
Players of the first team of FCB such as Leo Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas, Sergi Roberto, Rafinha Alcántara or Ansu Fati have been trained in our school; and currently, there are more than 90 students of the children’s and youth categories of Fcb of almost all sports disciplines who study in our school.
