7 de February de 2024

As we already informed you on January 27, 28 and 29, four 1st year high school students from our center participated in the Model European Parliament (MEP) project that this year was carried out in Palma de Mallorca.

Once the results have been received, we are pleased to inform you that the student Carla Lisart has been the first of the 12 students selected to participate in the XXIV national session of the MEP that will take place in Madrid from March 9 to 11, 2024.

In addition, another of our students, Rodrigo Medín, has placed tenth on the reserve list. Carla discussed the issue of water scarcity and Rodrigo discussed mental health.

Join us in congratulating the 4 participants and especially Carla!

Proud of our students

What is the EPM?

The European Parliament Model project is an educational program which aim is to promote European citizenship and constructive debate culture among the youth. Thanks to this project, students have the chance to investigate different pressing topics in Europe. Additionally, students can exchange opinions, present suggestions and experience being a deputy for a few days. More specifically, there are three sessions: one autonomous community session; one general national session; and, finally, one at a European scale.

Lleó XIII School at EPM

Lleó XIII school has participated in the EPM program for three years now. In two occasions, our students have been able to move to the next phase, the national session. Such is the case of Brais Alonso, who was last year’s 12th contestant, selected to partake in the national session of the EPM that took place at the Deputy Congress at Madrid. We encourage you to watch the linked video where Brais himself explains his experience:
