The Sant Jordi day is a very special day organized by the language department in collaboration with the rest of the departments and this year we decided that it would have as its main theme “A Sant Jordi to laugh and smile”
On April 23, Sant Jordi is celebrated in Catalonia and at school we also like to celebrate it. After two years, we have finally been able to celebrate it on a school day and, therefore, it has been a very special day full of activities for secondary and high school students, among which we highlight the viewing of the film related to the book that ESO students have been reading throughout this 2nd quarter, cineforum with activities prepared by the teachers of the language department about the film and the book, literary award ceremony (language department), mathematical photography award (scientific department -technological) and Olympic medal table (social and humanities department) and chocolate!
As for this year’s poster, it has been designed by Nerea Stanciu and Lidia Wu from 3rd ESO A. It can be found at the head of this post.
Both have attempted to alter the colors of the poster by making a combination of colors that allow the design of numerous flags of many different nationalities and that today have a place within the new Catalan society.
The 4th ESO students set up a stand at the entrance of the school to sell books and roses. Furthermore, this year we recovered the Plaza Kennedy students’ stall, where they were also selling roses to subsidize their end-of-year trip to Lanzarote. A stall that, by the way, was very successful!
